If I could give the review a negative 5 I absolutely would!
I bought an Epson printer 8 months ago and just recently bought 3rd party ink and once I put it in, I printed a few pages and then it said I needed an update.
So trusting such a big company like Epson I did it thinking it was to make my printing experience better.
But little did I know Epson purposely puts in an update when 3rd party ink is used to disable that.
So now I HAVE to buy the ink from Epson that is 10 times the price I paid for the third party ink.
So I called to make a complaint thinking they would like to keep their customers happy to get more business but all both employees of Epson kept telling me was that it says on the package “it’s designed to work with genuine Epson ink” but when I would ask if there was ANYWHERE it informs you that if you use these “updates” it will disable it from using third party ink they won’t directly answer that question and just say it says it’s designed to be used with genuine Epson ink because they all know it isn’t written to warn customers anywhere on it.
I spoke with an employee named ANNA at extension 19003 and when I asked to speak with someone above her she informed me she was refusing to allow me to speak with anyone else to try and fix this situation.
So I would like to warn other potential customers DO NOT QASTE YOUR MONEY ON ANYTHING EPSON AS THEY DONT CARE IF THEIR CUSTOMERS ARE HAPPY OR NOT AS LONG AS THEY GET YOUT MONEY!
CANON has some great printers and great customer service so find another brand printer if you don’t want to get ripped off!
