I used Uber for the first time a few days ago, partly because I was horrified by the prices charged by ordinary taxis and partly because my daughter-in-law used Uber for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed. The pick-ups were so prompt and my journeys to and from my destination were absolutely brilliant - and the charges were very reasonable.
